The Dallas Art Fair 2016 Exhibitor List Boasts 39 New Galleries

The eighth annual Dallas Art Fair will return this year from April 14–17 with an abundance of good art, glamorous parties, and major spending. Everything's bigger in Texas, after all.
This year's roster includes 95 galleries from 17 different countries and boasts 39 new participants, including Gallery Diet, Leila Heller Gallery, De Buck Gallery, Brand New Gallery, Taymour Grahne, Honor Fraser, David Kordansky Gallery, and Francois Ghebaly.
Galleries that will not be returning to the fair this year include Ameringer McEnery Yohe, Alden Projects, Nathalie Karg Gallery, Mixed Greens, James Fuentes Gallery, and 10 Chancery Lane.
Thanks to Dallas's abundance of innovative and wealthy collectors (think: Cindy and Howard Rachofsky, Kenny Goss, the late Vernon Faulconer), the event has morphed from a single fair into a week of programming that includes exhibitions, fundraisers, and more.
"We are excited to once again be partnering to raise funds for the Dallas Museum of Art, the Dallas Contemporary, and the Nasher Sculpture Center," said fair co-founder John Sughrue in a statement. "The mayor has again officially decreed this Dallas Arts Week, bringing light to some of the city's principal art organizations with a sharp series of exhibition openings and arts-related events."
The Dallas Museum of Art will open a major solo exhibition of photography by Irving Penn, while Dallas Contemporary will fete Dan Colen, Paola Pivi, and fashion designer-turned-visual artist Helmut Lang.
