Salem Art Fair & Festival – 2015

Salem Oregon Art Fair & Festival

The largest event from Salem Art Association, the Salem Art Fair & Festival is a three-day celebration of fine arts and crafts coming up July 17-19, 2015.  The largest festival of its kind in Oregon (operating for over 60 years!), the SAF&F welcomes over 35,000 guests each year to view and purchase art from over 200 artists in a wide variety of mediums as well as enjoy fun activities and great food.  Featured artists include Rich Bergeman, a fine-art photographer specializing in Pacific Northwest historical sites; Paula Portinga booth, a mixed-media artist; Craig Martell, a full-time studio potter; jewelry designer Melissa Stiles; and painter/sculptor Tim Timmerman.

There are two entertainment stages, two craft beer and wine gardens, two food courts, and a kids’ area, so everyone is sure to have a wonderful time.  Musical performances range from marimba to jazz, and make sure to leave some time for a docent-led tour of the Bush House Museum and to visit the three galleries at the Bush Barn Art Center.

The cost is $5/day or $10/three-day-pass.  Please leave your pets at home, but service animals are welcome.  The fair is accessible by car (there is street parking as well as several parking structures), shuttle from Portland Airport, bike (there are two bike corrals, and bike riders get a free bag of chips!), or foot.
