Old Town Art Fair – Chicago – 2015

Chicago Art Fair

We are excited for a great art fair in a wonderful city, the Old Town Art Fair in Chicago coming upJune 13th and 14th, both days from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm.  Ranked #1 in Chicago and #2 in the midwest, this show is celebrating its 66th year (check out their Facebook page for some great old photos) and is one of the oldest, outdoor juried fairs out there.   Over 40,000 art enthusiasts will have the opportunity to see and purchase the work of 250 artists, who are selected by an independent jury of professional artists, gallery owners, and curators.

In addition to the artists, visitors can also go on a Garden Walk through more than 60 local urban gardens, check out the music stage featuring talented local artists, or grab a meal from a local eatery served at the food court.  Even the kids will have a blast at their own arts and crafts activity area.

The main gate of the Old Town Art Fair is located at Lincoln Avenue & Wisconsin Street, but you can also enter at Lincoln Park West & Wisconsin, Sedgwick & Menomonee, Sedgwick & Wisconsin, Menomonee & Wells, and North Park & Willow.  Organizers request a $7.00 donation (for those 13 and over), and the proceeds benefit a number of local organizations.  Parking will be difficult, so plan on using public transportation to get to and from the event.

Locals, if you love art and have some time to spare, volunteers are still needed, for everything from working the gates, to booth-sitting, and more.  Contact [email protected] if you’re interested.
